Ignacio holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Trade and Customs by the Universidad Iberoamericana.

He pursued postgraduate studies in “International Trade Law,” “Tax Crimes,” “Finance,” “Prevention of money-laundering”, “Legal Compliance” and “Legal Audit as means for preventing entrepreneurial penalties and crimes” at the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM) and Escuela Libre de Derecho.
Mr. Yañez is a consultant specialized in entrepreneurial services for tax compliance focusing on customs and foreign trade.
As well as prevention of money-laundering; he has 20 years of professional experience and has been a consultant and auditor for various companies in the automotive, electrical, electronic, iron and steel, furniture, textile, and dressmaking industries, among others.
He has a successful history in developing and implementing customs and foreign trade compliance programs covering various subjects such as:
Tariff classification, customs valuation, non-tariff regulations and restrictions, FTA’s, among others, taking into consideration administrative-law and criminal related risks and in relation to equity liens that may affect companies in this regard, and implementing risk mitigation controls for the reduction thereof.


Various companies also resort to Mr. Yañez for consultation on
how to minimize import costs of various types of merchandise in Mexico, by means of foreign trade and customs strategic planning, even for consultation on the correct management, implementation, and supervision of IMMEX, PROSEC programs, as well as customs-related Certifications such as OEA, Certified Commerce Partner, Origin Review, and VAT and IEPS (Special Tax on Production and Services, in Spanish) certification.
He has been listed as one of the main foreign trade consultants of the country by Estrategia Aduanera magazine for the last 10 years.

He has been a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana and is known by his participation in teaching at various congresses, diploma courses, seminars, courses, and certifications related to Customs Operations and Foreign Trade for various governmental, entrepreneurial, and educative entities at the state and national level such as:
